Food For Thought

A frozen discount-brand pizza and the plainest of pasta dishes can be immeasurably improved merely by adding cheap shredded cheese at the appropriate time while cooking. Similarly, an otherwise plain bratwurst can be made memorable with only the sprinkle of some diced and roasted onions just before serving. Given that my job for two years at a think tank was focused on the idea of adding value as a means of developing economic competitiveness, it is a shame I did not apply this paradigm to my culinary creations earlier.
